Landscape in Watercolour – a demonstration by Frank Walters

Topic:     Secrets of painting skies in watercolour

Date:      Friday 19/01/24 at 8.00 pm

Venue:   All Saints’ Church Hall, Bark Hart Road

After art school Frank started a long and distinguished career in advertising as a Creative Director. Presenting ad concepts and mentoring creatives has made him a most compelling and captivating teacher of his great passion, watercolour landscape painting. Today he is the watercolour tutor at Kew Studio in West London. He hosts his regular Wednesday Zoom workshops and holds ‘en plein air’ painting retreats in Cadiz, Córdoba, Lucca, Palma and Juan Les Pins.

Frank’s approach is to capture the spirit and atmosphere of a subject in a quick n’ slick impressionistic style, something he believes everyone can achieve with the correct teaching of techniques, no matter what formal training they may have had.
